Summer Bash

Jennifer started a Friday night Bible study for the teens because they are hungry for "meatier" lessons. They had dinner first to feed their physical bodies, and then had the Bible study. These young men have been faithful and have the sweetest spirits. Their parents are doing their best to raise them right -- which is hard to do in this neighborhood.

Next Friday, 6/11, Jen has planned a great celebration to show the parents what their kids have done the past few months. One father volunteered to grill the main course, and each family is bringing a side dish. Miss Bea said all of the parents are looking forward to this. Jen will have an "open house" to show off the art the kids have created. The kids are excited.
We will also have games and prizes and just hang out with the kids for a few hours to let them know how proud of them we are.
We appreciate Calvary Church in Kingwood letting us borrow tables and chairs. Barbara, from Back2Basics Ministries, is bringing a snow cone machine. We know that will be a huge hit. Jen also has a magician coming. What a great celebration she's planned!
If you want to join us, meet us at the Sherwood Lane Apartments in Houston (off 290 & Magnum) at 12:30p on Saturday, 6/11.
