Piercing The Darkness Ministries

Welcome to our Ministry Website

Piercing the Darkness started New Year's Eve 2000 in the strip clubs of Houston, Texas. A topless dancer will probably never set foot in to a church unless she has a good friend who encourages her to do so, therefore, we must take the good news to her. God has allowed the Piercing the Darkness team to be part of his Search and Rescue team to find the lost and to help restore them back to Him.

Each month the team descends on several strip clubs, modeling studios and other sexually-oriented businesses to hand out gift bags. Each bag contains a small gift, encouraging scripture, some type of tract/devotional/Christian reading material, a business card inviting them to church (w/map and service times on the card), a card with the 24-hour prayer line number, and chocolate candy.

God has given us incredible favor with the owners and managers of these clubs. One Muslim club owner gave us money and wanted to support the ministry. We've had several male patrons ask for prayer and give us money.

If you'd like to keep up with the happenings, please keep an eye on the Archives!

Last night we went to the strip clubs and took gift bags to the girls. Each bag contained a soft, furry teddy bear, encouraging scripture, invitation to church and a box of Valentine candy. Here are the highlights: Amy requested prayer for her 15 year old son who is giving her a hard time. One girl let us know she no longer is a dancer. She's now waitressing. Prayed with 6-8 girls in the dressing
